Biography
I grew up in Shallotte, NC, which is a small tourist town on the the south east coast of state. I loved growing up beside the ocean but did not like living in such a conservative and restrictive part of the country; when I moved to Asheville to go to college in 2003 I knew I had found my new place in this world. I graduated from UNCA and began working with the community through a career in child welfare and mental health outreach. I have moved away and back in recent years but this city, with all of the beautiful people in it, is still my home. I am very fortunate and grateful to be a member of this community and to learn so much from all of the unique individuals in it.

Religious Beliefs
I was raised Episcopalian by my parents but I do not practice any religion now; however I strongly identify with Eastern philosophies of Buddhism and Taoism.
